When I think of Steve, I immediately remember his warmth, welcoming nature, and the fun energy he brought with him. One of my earliest memories of him was during a visit to New York, where he came to see Maddie. We gathered at the house, shared a meal, and I was introduced to their family’s amazing whiskey sour recipe. In those moments, as we all chatted and laughed, I saw how much Steve valued family. His effortless way of making myself, Maddie’s friends feel included spoke volumes about the kind of person he was. I can still hear him cracking his signature jokes, fully embracing the joy of being surrounded by loved ones. Now, whenever I think of him, it’s with a whiskey sour in hand and the fond memories of the wonderful times we all shared—moments that truly reflect who he was. That was just the beginning.
